How sweet it is!

By far, my favourite appointment so far was the cake tasting! Rob and I woke up bright and early on Thanksgiving weekend and drove down to Steeles (Irressistable Cakes to be exact) to taste cakes!

For those of you that have never done this, it's pretty much exactly as it sounds... you go in to your bakery, sit at a table with a binder FULL of different cake designs, all of them are ridiculously expensive, and you flip through while tasting several different flavours of cake. I think we ended up tasting something like 12 different flavours, and landed on the 5 we wanted for our cake. Yes, we needed 5 different flavours for 5 different layers!

I'm not going to give away what the cake looks like though, so don't ask! I will however tell you that Rob picked the cake - without my help. Yep, I trusted him to pick the design of the cake LOL and let me tell you, I was amazed at what he chose... it was the exact opposite of what I expected!

One last tip before I go...... the second layer of our cake, from the bottom, is Banana... and it's to DIE for!
