25 Weeks

The baby now weighs about a pound and a half and is about 13.5 inches long from head to toe. It's making breathing movements, but there is no air in it's lungs yet. If I were to shine a light on my belly, the baby would turn it's head, letting you know the optic nerve is working.

The baby is kicking like crazy! It's the weirdest sensation, and nothing you could ever describe, because it's so unique. Yesterday, I felt like there was a thunderstorm happening in my lower belly! The baby is kicking remarkably low, and the uncomfortable sensation has stopped - I no longer believe the baby is trying to kick it's way out through my lady parts!

When I press on my belly, I can feel the outline of our little bean, Rob does it too - thats how he tries to feel movement, he feels for the baby, and waits. The other night, he had his first stern talking to with our little one, reminding him or her that if 'daddy can't feel you moving, he won't believe you're in there' - I thought this was the cutest thing I'd ever heard! The baby was moving around, but maybe it's still not strong enough for Rob to feel on the outside - he feels rolling, but no kicks just yet.

I did the gender predictor test, and it's coming up as 67% girl! I could care less either way, all our appointments are pointing towards healthy development, and thats all I could ask for - but a little girl, that would be awesome! I imagine I'd be saying the same thing about a little boy, if thats what it pointed to! From what I hear, my dad wants to start a baby pool, when I get the information, I'll post it here, and probably on facebook. I think it would be really cool to see who guesses right - Sarah says boy, and she hasn't been wrong with anyone we know, so I guess only time will tell!

I moved my OB appointment from today to a week from today - I'm really hoping to find out if my placenta has moved up at all, I dont' want a C-Section, but of course will do whatever I have to to make sure the baby is healthy!

More soon!
